LP-005

LP-005 is a bifunctional anti-C5 antibody fusion protein with pH-dependent C5 binding properties. LP-005 can simultaneously inhibit activation of the terminal complement pathway and the alternative pathway. LP-005 can be used for research on paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).

LP-005 binds human C5 with pH-dependent kinetics, with a K_D of 6.70 × 10^-10 M at pH 7.4 and 2.45 × 10^-9 M at pH 6.0^[1].
LP-005 inhibits antibody-sensitized sheep erythrocyte hemolysis in 1% NHS with an IC₅₀ of 0.41 nM^[1].
LP-005 (20% ABO-compatible serum; pH 7.3) inhibits AP-induced hemolysis of CD59-deficient PNH erythrocytes by > 70%^[1].
