Nitralin significantly inhibits Cryptosporidium parvum growth in the Madin Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cell in vitro cultivation model with an IC₅₀ of 4.5 µM, with no observed toxicity^[1].
Nitralin (25-50 μg/mL) stimulates the growth rate of Pseudomonas fluorescens by 22.0% at 25 μg/mL, while having no significant effect on the growth rates of Erwinia carotovora or Bacillus sp. at 50 μg/mL^[2].
