Biological Activity
Gibellulin A (Compound 4) potently inhibits Edwardsiella ictarda with an MIC of 2 μg/mL; it inhibits Aeromonas hydrophilia, Edwardsiella tarda, Vibrio harveyi and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz with an MIC of 4 μg/mL; it inhibits Escherichia coli and Vibrio alginolyticus with an MIC of 8 μg/mL; and it inhibits Vibrio parahaemolyticus with an MIC of 16 μg/mL[1].
