Camptothecoside
Camptothecoside is a novel indole glycoside isolated from the fruits of Camptotheca acuminata, and it serves as a biosynthetic intermediate of camptothecin. Camptothecoside shares the same four-ring conjugated system (rings A-D) as camptothecin, but it has a ketal glycoside structure (ring E) at the C-21 position, with a β-D-glucopyranosyl group linked to the C-21 position. Camptothecoside can be used in studies on camptothecin biosynthesis and natural product chemistry.
