FAAH Substrate

Elunetirom (MA-JD21) is an orally active, blood-brain barrier-permeable prodrug of LL-340001. Elunetirom employs fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH)-dependent prodrug technology to enhance the brain delivery of LL-340001, a potent thyroid hormone receptor agonist with 15-fold higher selectivity for TRβ over TRα. Elunetirom induces T3-regulated gene expression, including that of ABCD2. Elunetirom drives neuroplasticity and bioenergetic changes, and induces neurogenesis, neuritogenesis, and synaptogenesis. Elunetirom is applicable to research related to major depressive disorder and X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy.

AMC Arachidonoyl Amide (AMC-AA; 7-Amino-4-methyl coumarin-arachidonamide) is a fluorescent fatty acid amide substrate used to detect fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) activity. AMC Arachidonoyl Amide releases 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (AMC) upon hydrolysis by FAAH, producing fluorescence at Ex 360 nm/Em 465 nm, thereby allowing rapid determination of FAAH activity using a cuvette or microplate fluorometer.

20-Hydroxy-N-arachidonoyl taurine (Compound C20:4 NAT) acts as an activator of TRPV1 and TRPV4, with EC₅₀ values of 28 µM and 21 µM, respectively. 20-Hydroxy-N-arachidonoyl taurine serves as a substrate for fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH).
