Biological Activity
The fluorescence spectrum of C-Laurdan changes with the change of polarity of its environment. In polar environments, fluorescence spectrum of C-Laurdan will be red-shifted, while in non-polar environments, it will be blue-shifted[1].
C-Laurdan exhibits different fluorescence properties in lipid phases, and can be used in study of phase separation phenomenon in the cell membrane[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
