VH9 is a Free radical scavenger. VH9 binds to the active pocket of Keap1, blocks the interaction between Keap1 and Nrf2, and activates the Keap1-Nrf2 antioxidant pathway. VH9 inhibits ROS production. VH9 scavenges ABTS and DPPH free radicals through hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions. VH9 protects cells from oxidative stress damage.

VH9 exhibits potent ABTS radical scavenging activity in a cell-free assay, with an IC₅₀ of 19.698 μM^[1].
VH9 exhibits DPPH radical scavenging activity in a cell-free assay, with an IC₅₀ of 1500.825 μM^[1].
VH9 (0.1-3 mg/mL; 1-2 h) exhibits good stability across varying temperatures, pH levels, NaCl concentrations, and simulated gastrointestinal digestion, retaining significant radical scavenging activity under all tested conditions^[1].
VH9 (62.5-1500 μg/mL; 24 h) protects human HepG2 cells from H₂O₂-induced oxidative stress, increasing cell viability to up to 84.52% at a concentration of 1500 μg/mL^[1].
