Kuwanon Y is a Diels-Alder type adduct with antioxidant activity. Kuwanon Y is present in the stem bark of Morus macroura Miq[1].

In Vitro

Kuwanon Y (10-100 μM; 30 min) inhibits malondialdehyde production by 94.5% at the concentration of 100 μM and by 70.9% at 10 μM in microsomal lipid peroxidation assays[1].
