L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate
Based on 1 Customer Validation
L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate is an endogenous metabolite. L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate serves as a substrate for phosphatases and releases inorganic phosphate upon catalytic dephosphorylation. L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate is upregulated in human oral fibroblasts treated with Porphyromonas gingivalis bacterial extracellular vesicles. L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate is useful for research related to prostate cancer and periodontitis.

Description
In Vitro
L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate levels in PC3 prostate cancer cells decrease upon treatment with a glutaminase inhibitor and increase upon treatment with the hexokinase inhibitor 2-deoxy-D-glucose (HY-13966), reflecting the metabolic crosstalk between glycolysis and glutaminolysis pathways[2].
L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid sodium hydrate is catalyzed by wild-type Gph and its evolved/single-mutant variants with significant phosphoglycolate phosphatase activity, indicating that the native activity of the enzyme remains largely intact after directed evolution toward phosphoserine phosphatase activity[3].
