In Vitro
MCT4-IN-2 (Compound 1) exhibits low inhibitory activity against hERG channels, with an IC50 > 300 μM[1].
MCT4-IN-2 attenuates the transformation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts and reduces the production of the extracellular matrix protein α-smooth muscle actin (αSMA)[1].

Animal Model:Pulmonary fibrosis mice[1]

Result:Effectively reduced pulmonary fibrosis in vivo (in both young and aged mice).
There was no significant additive effect when used in combination with Pirfenidone or Nintedanib.
