DB293
DB293 is a dicationic bis-amidine compound that potently recognizes mixed base pair sequences. DB293 binds to the minor groove of the ATGA sequence as an antiparallel stacked dimer through positive cooperativity. DB293 forms monomeric complexes with ATATAT and AAATTT, with no significant selectivity preference for these two sequences.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
DB293 (20 μM) forms a cooperative 2:1 dimer with the ATGA sequence and 1:1 monomer complexes with ATATAT and AAATTT sequences, with the highest affinity observed for the ATGA dimer[1].
