Targeting Peptides

DAG peptide is a cyclic peptide. DAG peptide selectively recognizes a subset of astrocytes that are activated in Alzheimer's disease (AD) starting at an early stage of the disease. E (c (RGDfK)) 2 inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells and endothelial cells. E (c (RGDfK)) 2 preferentially accumulates in orthotopic mouse breast tumors and human ovarian cancer xenograft tumors. RP-832c is a synthetic analogue of host defense peptides (HDP), targeting the mannose receptor CD206 on the surface of M2 polarized macrophages (K_d = 3.5 μM). RP-832c binding to CD206 induces a significant conformational change in the receptor, activating signaling pathways that lead to rapid apoptosis and repolarization of CD206-positive M2 macrophages to an M1 phenotype. RP-832c treatment significantly reduces CD206 gene expression in M2 macrophages while transiently increasing expression of TNF-α, a marker for M1 macrophages. RP-832c is used for the studies of T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

RP-182 is a synthetic immunomodulatory peptide that exerts anti-tumor effects by targeting the mannose receptor CD206 (K_d = 8 μM) on the surface of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). RP-182 induces a conformational switch of the CD206 receptor, which activates NF-κB signaling and phagocytosis in CD206^high TAMs. RP-182 has dual function: activation of canonical NF-κB signaling, triggering TNFα secretion and autocrine activation of the TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1), leading to activation of caspase 8, apoptosis, and cell death. RP-182 is used in pancreatic cancer and melanoma research.

SDSSD is an osteoblast-targeting peptide. SDSSD selectively binds to periostin on osteoblasts and mediates targeted delivery to these cells. SDSSD can endow calcium phosphate nanocomposites with bone-targeting properties, and these materials exhibit osteointegrative capacity in both in vitro and in vivo models. When conjugated with polyurethane nanomicelles, SDSSD enables targeted delivery of siRNA/microRNA to osteoblasts.

FRα-targeting peptide C7 TFA is a selective peptide ligand for folate receptor α (FRα) that has specific binding to FRα expressing cells and in vivo tumor targeting ability. FRα-targeting peptide C7 TFA can be used in the research of tumor diagnosis and treatment.

HER2-targeted peptide H6F is a HER2 targeting peptide that binds to HER2 to target breast cancer cells, with the amino acid sequence YLFFVFER. The HER2-targeted peptide H6F can be conjugated with the bifunctional chelating agent hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC) for radiolabeling with 99mTc. Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging shows that the labeled HER2-targeted peptide H6F specifically accumulates in HER2-positive MDA-MBA-453 tumor-bearing mice models. The HER2-targeted peptide H6F can be used for tumor molecular imaging studies.

M2 Peptide is a peptide targeting M2-like tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). M2 Peptide is used to carry drugs or small interfering RNA (siRNA) to promote the repolarization of M2-like macrophages to M1-like macrophages, thereby altering the immunosuppressive state in the tumor microenvironment and enhancing the anti-tumor immune response. M2 Peptide can be used to study the effect of macrophage polarization and how this polarization change affects tumor growth and metastasis.

Cyclic PSAP peptide is a cyclic pentapeptide (DWLPK). Cyclic PSAP peptide exhibits agent-like properties and could inhibit metastatic spread and restrain tumor development in general in vivo.

Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Cys) (Cyclo RGDfC) TFA, a cyclic RGD peptide which has high affinity to αvβ3, can disrupt cell integrin interactions. Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Cys) TFA inhibits pluripotent marker expression in embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and the tumorigenic potential of mESCs in vivo. Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Cys) TFA can be used in the research of tumors.

LyP-1 TFA is a cyclic 9 amino acids tumor homing peptide and selectively bind to p32 receptors overexpressed in various tumor-associated cells.

PNT2001 (LY4181530) is a high-affinity PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceutical ligand precursor. natLu-PNT2001 has an IC₅₀ of 3.1 nM against PSMA. PNT2001 is applicable for PSMA targeting, radiopharmaceutical ligand delivery, and prostate cancer-related research.

T9 peptide (SKTFNTHPQSTP) is a muscle targeting peptide. T9 peptide binds strongly to C2C12 myoblasts. T9 peptide is capable of increased specificity for the heart and quadriceps muscles if conjugated to oligonucleotides without a similar effect in targeting to the kidney, liver, and diaphragm.

CP05 is a peptide that specifically recognizes an exosome surface marker (CD63). CP05 anchors exosomes to target tissues for in vivo delivery of exosomes.
