In Vitro

Phyllomedusin increases neuronal excitation with psychoactive and behavioral responses[4].
Phyllomedusin can cause smooth muscle contraction and vasodilatation[4].

In Vivo

Phyllomedusin (30-300 μg/kg, i.p.) delays gastric emptying in conscious rats[2].
Phyllomedusin (0.1 and 5 μg/kg, i.v.) has stimulant activity on the stomach of the anaesthetized rat[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
