Plant Cell Acidity Indicator Solution (Methyl Red Method) labels lipid droplets and cell walls of plant protoplasts, and can also distinguish tannin-rich "full cell sap" from tannin-free "empty cell sap" in vacuoles of onion and sedum epidermis via characteristic heterochromatic coloration[2].
