Description

Poly(4-vinylphenol) is a polymer cross-linking agent that can be used to prepare non-toxic films. Poly(4-vinylphenol) is a sensitizer of titania for visible light photocatalysis. Poly(4-vinylphenol) also can be used as a water resistive wood adhesive, as a gate dielectric insulator in organic field effect transistors, and as a responsive surface coating[1][2].

In Vitro

Poly(4-vinylphenol) plays an important roles in the development of deep-UV photolithography employing 248-nm laser light[1].
Poly(4-vinylphenol) is a photoresist readily dissolves in basic solutions and it does not swell. The crosslinked microstructures therefore retain their size fidelity and integrity with minimal structure distortion[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
