Biological Activity
Primisulfuron-methyl (40-80 g AI/ha; single dose) reduces annual bluegrass shoot weight by 33% and 52% respectively after 4 weeks, while increasing Kentucky bluegrass shoot biomass by an average of 17% relative to nontreated plants after 4 weeks[1].
Primisulfuron-methyl (0.001-10000 μM; 12 h) inhibits isolated ALS enzymes from annual bluegrass and Kentucky bluegrass equally, with an IC50 of 0.16 μM for both species[1].
