PTAD-ergosta-3-one
PTAD-ergosta-3-one is a snake venom enzyme inhibitor. PTAD-ergosta-3-one inhibits the procoagulant activity of citrated plasma mediated by serine protease (SVSP) from Bothrops asper venom. PTAD-ergosta-3-one inhibits the esterase activity of PLA2 from Bothrops asper venom. PTAD-ergosta-3-one can be used in the research of snakebite envenoming.

PTAD-ergosta-3-one (62.5-500 μM; 30 min) potently and dose-dependently inhibits the procoagulant activity of citrated plasma mediated by serine proteases from Bothrops asper venom (SVSP). Its activity reaches the peak at the concentration of 500 μM, prolonging the clotting time to 300 s[1].
PTAD-ergosta-3-one (62.5-500 μM; 30 min) weakly inhibits the amide hydrolysis activity mediated by Bothrops asper snake venom SVSP in vitro, and exhibits concentration-dependent variable effects within the tested concentration range[1].
PTAD-ergosta-3-one (250-500 μM; 30 min) inhibits the 4-NOBA monodisperse substrate-mediated esterase activity of Bothrops asper snake venom PLA2 in vitro at concentrations of 250 μM and 500 μM[1].
