Pubetallin is a germacrane-type sesquiterpenoid (germacranolide) can be found in the aerial parts of Sigesbeckia orientalis. Pubetallin induces cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells. Pubetallin can be used for the research of breast cancer.

Biological Activity
Pubetallin (24 h) shows moderate cytotoxicity against human MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells with an IC50 of 19.73 μM[1].
Pubetallin (24 h) exhibits no significant cytotoxicity against human A549 lung cancer cells, with an IC50 > 20 μM[1].
