Scr-MyomP1 peptide
Scr-MyomP1 peptide is a scrambled peptide derived from the Myomerger protein. Scr-MyomP1 peptide can be conjugated to the surface of lipid nanoparticles and serves as a negative control to verify whether the skeletal muscle targeting effect of MyomP1-modified LNPs is sequence-dependent. Scr-MyomP1-modified mRNA-LNPs do not exhibit skeletal muscle targeting tropism. Scr-MyomP1 peptide can serve as a scrambled negative control for MyomP1.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Scr-MyomP1 peptide is conjugated to mRNA-LNP via DSPE-PEG (2000)-DBCO using the post-insertion method to construct a negative control formulation (mRNA-Scr-MyomP1-LNP), which, compared with unmodified mRNA-LNP, fails to specifically enhance luciferase transfection efficiency in mouse C2C12 myoblasts and myotubes[1].

Protocols

RNA extraction experimental
By lysing cells, releasing RNA, and removing impurities such as proteins and DNA, high-purity RNA products are finally obtained. The commonly used traditional method is the guanidine isothiocyanate/phenol/chloroform method (Trizol), which is suitable for a variety of animal materials including animal tissues, microorganisms, cultured cells, etc., and most plant materials.
