SR-34831 is a NAMPT activator, NAD level stabilizer and neuroprotective agent. SR-34831 enhances the enzymatic activity of human NAMPT, prevents intracellular NAD depletion, and counteracts neuronal death induced by toxic misfolded prion proteins. SR-34831 exhibits metabolic stability in human liver microsomes and can be used for the research of protein misfolding neurodegenerative diseases[1].

In Vitro

SR-34831 protects neuronal cells against TPrP-induced death with an EC50 of 20 nM[1].
SR-34831 shows metabolic stability in human hepatic microsomes, with a half-life of at least 15 minutes[1].
SR-34831 (1 μM) activates human NAMPT by at least 10% when tested at a concentration of 1 μM[1].
