Suvizumab  (Synonyms: KD-247)

Suvizumab (KD-247) is an neutralizing antibody anti-HIV-1. Suvizumab effectively neutralizes HIV-1_MN, HIV-1_SF2 and HIV-1_89.6 with IC₅₀ values of 0.1 µg/mL, 1.0 µg/mL and 0.2 µg/mL, respectively. Suvizumab reduces the viral load of HIV. Suvizumab has good tolerance and can be used to prevent HIV infection^[1][2].

Suvizumab shows highly resistant to pseudotyped virus with the G314E mutation^[3].

Suvizumab (15, 30 and 45 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose) attenuates viral attack and plasma viremia, and increased the number of CD4⁺ T cells in SHIV C2/1 infected cynomolgus monkeys with dose-dependent manner^[2].
Suvizumab (45 mg/kg; i.v.; once a week for 2 months) reduces the loss of CD4 T cells in lymphoid tissue in male cynomolgus monkeys infected with simian/human immunodeficiency virus-C2/1^[4].
