LTHVVWL
LTHVVWL is a Kim-1-binding peptide. LTHVVWL functionalizes extracellular vesicles and exosomes to achieve targeted delivery to injured renal tubules. LTHVVWL modifies FRC-Exos to enhance specificity for injured renal tubules. LTHVVWL functionalizes nanoparticles for active targeting of injured kidneys. LTHVVWL is grafted onto mesoporous silica nanoparticles via a PEG linker to seal the outer layer and prevent leakage. LTHVVWL acts as a calcium chelator through hydrolysis, generating active BAPTA and reducing intracellular Ca2+ overload. LTHVVWL can be used for acute kidney injury research.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
LTHVVWL is the preferred candidate for Kim-1 targeting due to its high binding affinity at low concentrations[1].
LTHVVWL (5 μM; 6 h) specifically recognizes TEC overexpressing Kim-1 in vitro[1].
LTHVVWL-anchored FRC-Exos are taken up by primary renal tubular cells in vitro, and fluorescence is observed under a confocal microscope after 24 hours of incubation, confirming this[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
