Description

2'-Deoxy-PTX is a Paclitaxel (HY-B0015) derivative and microtubule assembly inducer. 2'-Deoxy-PTX binds to GMPcPP-stabilized microtubules, with a Kaapp of 0.50 × 106 M-1. 2′-Deoxy-PTX induces Tubulin to assemble into normal microtubules. 2'-Deoxy-PTX can be used for the research of prostate cancer[1].

In Vitro

2'-Deoxy-PTX (15 μM; up to 25 min) induces the assembly of purified tubulin into normal microtubules at 37 °C[1].
2'-Deoxy-PTX binds to GMPcPP-stabilized microtubules at 37 °C, with an apparent binding constant of 0.50 × 106 M-1[1].
2'-Deoxy-PTX exhibits an IC50 of 526 nM against PC3 cells, with significantly reduced cytotoxicity compared with PTX[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
