Description

6ECA is a selective TGR5 receptor activator with an EC50 of 3.44 μM. 6ECA shows no significant activity at FXR. 6ECA can be used for the study of diabesity[1].

IC50 & Target[1]

TGR5 receptor

3.44 μM (EC50)

In Vitro

6ECA (compound 14) acts as a TGR5 agonist in CHO cells transiently transfected with human TGR5 with an EC50 of 3.44 μM and has no FXR agonist activity in COS1 cells (EC50 >100 μM)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
