L-ornithine (1-10 mM) monohydrochloride , suitable for cell culture, activates the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) in HK-2 cells in a concentration-dependent manner, leading to an increase in intracellular calcium ([Ca2+]i) levels, and this increase is inhibited by CaSR-specific siRNA[1].
L-ornithine (100 μM; 60 min) monohydrochloride, suitable for cell culture, activates p38 MAPK in HK-2 cells via the ROCE pathway, and this activation mediates the protective effect against H2O2-induced apoptosis[1].
L-ornithine (100-300 μM) monohydrochloride, suitable for cell culture, protects HK-2 cells against damage induced by H2O2-mediated ROS production and excessive Ca2+ influx via the ROCE pathway[1].
L-ornithine monohydrochloride, suitable for cell culture, protects HK-2 cells against crystal-induced nuclear damage and H2O2-induced apoptosis/necrosis via the ROCE pathway[1].
