Description

L-ANAP is a genetically encodable and polarity-sensitive fluorescent unnatural amino acid (Uaa)[1][2].

In Vitro

L-ANAP is a fluorescent, noncanonical amino acid which can be used for specific fluorescent labeling[1]. L-ANAP is a genetically encodable and polarity-sensitive fluorescent unnatural amino acid (Uaa). Fluorescent Uaas, including L-dansylalanine, L-(7-hydroxycoumrin-4-yl)ethylglycine and L-ANAP, are of particular interest for molecular and cellular biology, which may complement and enchance the widely used fluorescent proteins (FPs)[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
