Napsagatran
Napsagatran (Ro 46-6240) is a potent thrombin inhibitor. Napsagatran exhibits anticoagulant effects in vitro and in vivo. Napsagatran can be used in antithrombotic research[1][2].

Biological Activity
Napsagatran (10 μg/kg/min) reduces platelet-rich thrombus formation in an ex vivo perfusion chamber model[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
Napsagatran (10 μg/kg/min, i.v., infusion for 240 minutes) significantly reduces thrombus associated fibrin in rabbits[2].

Animal Model:New Zealand rabbits[2]
-
Dosage:10 μg/kg/min
-
Administration:i.v., infusion for 240 minutes
-
Result:Showed a 1.3-fold prolongation of the prothrombin time (PT) and a 1.7-fold prolongation of the partial thromboplastin time (APTT).
Significantly reduced thrombus associated fibrin after 240 min blood flow exposure.
Showed no effects in heart rate, blood pressure, plasma fibrinogen concentrations, hematocrit and blood cell counts over time.
