Strevertene A ((-)-Strevertene A) (Compound 1), a pentaene macrolide, is a microbial secondary metabolite. Strevertene A is an antibiotic and has a potent antifungal activity. Strevertene A significantly inhibits the mycelial growth of phytopathogenic fungi (such as Alternaria mali, Aspergillus oryzae and Cylindrocarpon destructans) with IC₅₀s of 4-16 μg/mL. Strevertenes A can strongly prevent Fusarium wilt development on tomato plants.

Amycolatopsin C is a glycosylated macrolactone with antibacterial activity. Amycolatopsin C selectively inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium bovis (BCG) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis (H37Rv) compared to other Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Amycolatopsin C demonstrates low levels of cytotoxicity toward mammalian cells and can be utilized in antibacterial research.

Cochliomycin C is a macrocyclic lactone that can be isolated from Gorgonian-Derived Fungus Cochliobolus lunatus.
