Description

Anticancer agent 322 is a spirocyclohexane-chroman-4-one derivative. Anticancer agent 322 induces apoptosis and G1 cell cycle arrest in breast cancer cells. Anticancer agent 322 can be used for the research of breast cancer[1].

In Vitro

Anticancer agent 322 (Compound 42) potently inhibits MCF7 breast cancer cell viability with an IC50 of 3.9 μM, while being 9.99-fold and 8.95-fold less cytotoxic to noncancerous MCF10A and VA13 cells, respectively, and moderately cytotoxic to MDAMB231 breast cancer cells[1].
Anticancer agent 322 (20 μM; 24 h) induces G1-phase cell cycle arrest and slight apoptosis in MCF7 breast cancer cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Cycle Analysis[1]

Cell Line: MCF7 breast cancer cells
Concentration: 20 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Induced a G1-phase cell cycle arrest in MCF7 cells, as shown by an increased percentage of cells in G1 phase relative to untreated controls.
Observed a slight but notable level of apoptosis in cell death analysis.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
