Antiviral agent-88
Antiviral agent-88 is a broad-spectrum Filovirus inhibitor. Antiviral agent-88 inhibits pEBOV, pMARV, Zaire, Sudan, Bundibugyo, Reston, and Tai Forest viruses with EC50 values of 0.23, 3.89, 0.23, 1.61, 1.19, 0.26, and 0.13 μM, respectively. Antiviral agent-88 blocks viral entry into host cells by binding to the viral glycoprotein and occupying its binding pocket. Antiviral agent-88 can be used in research on Ebola virus (EBOV) and Marburg virus (MARV) infections.

Antiviral agent-88 (compound 61) (48 h) inhibits pEBOV, pMARV, Zaire, Sudan, Bundibugyo, Reston, and Tai Forest viruses with EC50 values of 0.23, 3.89, 0.23, 1.61, 1.19, 0.26, and 0.13 μM, respectively[1].
Antiviral agent-88 (0.012-25 μM; preincubation for 1 h; MARV infection for 24 h) inhibits infectious WT MARV in Huh7 cells with an EC50 of 1.92 μM[1].
Antiviral agent-88 (up to 200 μM; 40 h) has low cytotoxicity in HeLa cells (CC50 = 44.3 μM) and inhibits infectious WT EBOV (EC50 = 0.89 μM)[1].
Antiviral agent-88 exhibits antiviral activity against H5N1 (EC50 = 14.8 μM) and against VSV (EC50 = 2.92 μM)[1].
