Description

Apoptosis inducer 60 (Compound 4a) is an Apoptosis inducer. Apoptosis inducer 60 induces concentration-dependent apoptosis in cells. Apoptosis inducer 60 exhibits moderate cytotoxicity against breast cancer cell lines[1].

In Vitro

Apoptosis inducer 60 (24 h) inhibits the viability of breast cancer MCF-7 cells, with an IC50 value of 8.27 μM[1].
Apoptosis inducer 60 (8.27-16.54 μM; 24 h) induces concentration-dependent apoptosis in breast cancer MCF-7 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Apoptosis Analysis[1]

Cell Line: human breast cancer MCF-7 cells
Concentration: 8.27 μM (1× IC50); 16.54 μM (2× IC50)
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Increased total apoptosis (early + late) to 16.45% (2.95% early apoptosis, 11.9% late apoptosis, 0.4% necrosis) at 8.27 μM.
Increased total apoptosis to 20.35% (8.65% early apoptosis, 11.7% late apoptosis, 0.9% necrosis) at 16.54 μM.
Showed a concentration-dependent decrease in cell density via microscopic observation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
