Arenicin-1 is an antimicrobial peptide that can be isolated from coelomocytes of the marine polychaeta lugworm Arenicola marina. Arenicin-1 displays potent antimicrobial activity, with MIC values ranging from 2.0 to 8.0 μM. Arenicin-1 can be used for antibacterial research[1].

In Vitro

Arenicin-1 displays potent antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis, with MIC values of 8.0, 2.0, 2.0, and 4.0 μM, respectively[1].
