AS3580239
AS3580239 is a positive allosteric modulator of skeletal muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (m-nAChR). AS3580239 promotes acetylcholine (ACh) signaling via m-nAChR, causing a leftward shift of the ACh concentration-response curve. AS3580239 enhances electrically stimulated isometric contraction of the extensor digitorum longus (EDL) muscle. AS3580239 improves neurotransmission and enhances muscle strength. AS3580239 can be used for research on myasthenia gravis.

Biological Activity
AS3580239 (1-10 μM) acts as a positive allosteric modulator of skeletal muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in differentiated Hu5/KD3 human myotubes, reducing the EC50 of ACh by 14.0-fold at 10 μM without inducing currents on its own, and its effects are blocked by the acetylcholine receptor antagonist tubocurarine[1].
