Gomisin G

Gomisin G is a lignin from S. chinesis with anti-HIV (EC50 = 0.006 μg/mL), anti-liver cancer and anti-inflammatory activities. Gomisin G has an AKT-cyclin D1 dependent mechanism against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells through suppressing phosphorylation rather than inducing apoptosis. Gomisin G can inhibit AKT phosphorylation. Gomisin G can cause cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase. Gomisin G can be studied in research for diseases such as HIV, breast and liver cancers.

Gomisin G (1-10 μM, 3-5 d) significantly inhibits the growth of LoVo cells in a dose and time dependent manner[2].
Gomisin G (10 μM, 24 h) significantly reduces the phosphorylation level of AKT and induces apoptosis in LoVo cells[2].
Gomisin G (10 μM, 72 h) leads to a significantly higher population at the sub-G1 phase and decreased population of cells in G1 and G2M phase of the cell cycle[2].
Gomisin G (1-10 μM, 3-5 d) selectively reduces the growth of MDA-MB-231 and MDA-MB-468 cells (TNBC cells) but not other breast cancer cell lines[3].
Gomisin G (10 μM, 72 h) significantly decreases the cyclin D1 level in the MDA-MB-231 cells[3].

Preparation of Saline: Dissolve 0.9 g sodium chloride in ddH₂O and dilute to 100 mL to obtain a clear Saline solution.
