Primulaverin
Primulaverin is a phenolic glycoside secondary metabolite and a non-anthocyanin phenolic compound. Primulaverin can be isolated from the roots of Primula veris L. and the immature fruits of Lepisanthes alata. Primulaverin can be applied to research related to respiratory system diseases.

Biologische Aktivität
Beschreibung
In Vitro
Primulaverin is detected only in the peeled pulp of immature Malay cherries, with a maximum absorption wavelength λmax of 284 nm[1].
The accumulation of Primulaverin (45 days; 16 weeks) in the roots of Primula veris is significantly increased by red light LEDs during the flowering period; regardless of the light treatment applied, the concentration of Primulaverin in its roots decreases by 2-3 times from the vegetative growth stage to the flowering stage[2].
