SB87-H
SB87-H is a Pestalone-type benzophenone compound that exists in the endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis trachicarpicola SC-J551 and the lichen endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis rhododendri LF-19-12. SB87-H exhibits cytotoxicity against cancer cells and epithelial cells, and possesses antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and vancomycin-sensitive Enterococcus faecium. SB87-H can be used in studies related to bacteria infections.

Biologische Aktivität
SB87-H (compound 9) (0.31-10 μg/mL; 6-8 h) inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and vancomycin-susceptible Enterococcus faecium with an MIC of 10 μg/mL, and shows no activity against vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium[1].
SB87-H (0.016-50 μM) potently induces cytotoxicity in A549, HeLa, HepG2, MCF-7, and Vero cells with IC50 values ranging from 1.5-2.2 μM[1].
