In Vitro

AX8819 potently and selectively inhibits purified DPP II with an IC50 of 0.88 nM, with no measurable activity against other tested DPP family enzymes[1].
AX8819 (0.88-44 μM) inhibits overexpressed DPP II activity in DPP II-293T HEK cells at all tested concentrations, inhibits endogenous DPP II activity in Jurkat cells at 4.4-44 μM[1].
AX8819 (0-44 μM; 16 h) exhibits very low non-specific cytotoxicity toward proliferating Jurkat cells at concentrations up to 44 μM[1].
AX8819 (4.4-44 μM; 4-16 h) induces apaptosis in resting PBMCs[1].
