Bis(4-morpholinyl)methane (N,N'-Methylene-bis-morpholine) is a broad-spectrum, slow-release formaldehyde-based fungicide. Bis(4-morpholinyl)methane inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms, and prevents spoilage and odor generation in humid environments. Bis(4-morpholinyl)methane serves as a preservative for natural rubber latex.

Biological Activity
Bis(4-morpholinyl)methane (0.1-0.25 wt%; 5 days) effectively preserves fresh latex of Hainan natural rubber at concentrations ≥0.15 wt%, maintaining a low VFA value and stable viscosity for at least 5 days[1].
Bis(4-morpholinyl)methane (0.25-0.4 wt%; up to 180 days) effectively preserves concentrated natural rubber latex at concentrations ≥0.3 wt%, maintains low VFA values and stable viscosity over a period of up to 180 days, and yields MST values close to those of high-ammonia concentrated natural rubber latex[1].
