ALFA-tag is an α-helical peptide epitope tag. ALFA-tag is recognized by the high-affinity Nb-ALFA nanobody (Kd = 26 pM). The ALFA system, composed of ALFA-tag and ALFA-Nb, is widely adopted and applied in various fields such as immunofluorescence, super-resolution microscopy, immunoblotting, and protein purification.

Description
In Vitro
ALFA-tag binds to ALFA-Nb with extremely high affinity (Kd = 26 pM) and has been successfully applied in a variety of extracellular and intracellular contexts[4].
The ALFA system, composed of the ALFA-tag and ALFA-Nb, is widely adopted and applied in various fields such as immunofluorescence, super-resolution microscopy, immunoblotting, and protein purification; meanwhile, it is also the preferred approach for developing "photobodies" targeting short epitope tags[4].
