Demethoxyhexahydrocurcumin displays greater cytotoxic activity against CaCo-2 colorectal cancer cells^[1].
Demethoxyhexahydrocurcumin demonstrates antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Candida albicans, and Aspergillus niger but does not outperform curcumin in the disc diffusion assay^[1].
Demethoxyhexahydrocurcumin exhibits potent antioxidant activity (IC₅₀ of 8.62 μg/mL)^[2].
