[Phe2]-TRH is a thyrotropin releasing hormone analogue, equipping a conformational similarity with Leu5-enkephalin^[1].

In Vitro

[Phe2]-TRH has a lower affinity for the TRH receptor than TRH itself, and the substitution of azPro for Pro in the [Phe2, azPro3]-TRH analogue causes an approximately 200-fold further loss in affinity^[1].
