Activité biologique
(+)-3-Carene serves as an intermediate to react and form α-3,4-epoxycarene, β-3,4-epoxycarene and other compounds[1].
(+)-3-Carene exhibits significantly higher basal accumulation in the top stem tissues of resistant Picea abies clone H898 relative to susceptible clones; methyl jasmonate treatment only triggers a slight yet notable elevation of this compound in susceptible Picea sitchensis clone Q903, whereas its level stays unaltered and persistently higher in resistant clone H898[2].
(+)-3-Carene is produced with similar catalytic efficiency by recombinant PsTPS-3car1 enzymes from both resistant and sensitive Picea sitchensis trees, while PsTPS-3car2 (R) from resistant plants shows lower catalytic efficiency, and PsTPS-3car3 (S) from sensitive plants exhibits negligible catalytic activity[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
