Biological Activity: NG-nitro-L-arginine (Nω-nitro-L-arginine) is a NO Synthase inhibitor, with Kis of 0.61 μM (nNOS), 4.28 μM (iNOS), 0.72 μM (eNOS) respectively. NG-nitro-L-arginine inhibits endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF) formation and release. NG-nitro-L-arginine inhibits portal-systemic shunting in portal-hypertensive rats, and increases blood pressure[1][2][3][4].
