Dimethyl fumarate-d2
- CAS No.: 23057-98-9
- Formula:C6H6D2O4
- Molecular Weight:146.14
IUPAC Name: benzyl (R)-(1-((bis(benzyloxy)phosphoryl)oxy)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-(4-octylphenyl)butan-2-yl)carbamate
InChIKey: LDCRTTXIJACKKU-SWIHUIHJSA-N
SMILES: O=C(OC)/C([2H])=C([2H])/C(OC)=O
Biological Activity: Dimethyl fumarate-d2 is the deuterium labeled Dimethyl fumarate[1]. Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is an orally active and brain-penetrant Nrf2 activator and induces upregulation of antioxidant gene expression. Dimethyl fumarate induces necroptosis in colon cancer cells through GSH depletion/ROS increase/MAPKs activation pathway, and also induces cell autophagy. Dimethyl fumarate can be used for multiple sclerosis research[2][3].
