Pamabrom is a diuretic that acts on the opioid receptor-nitric oxide (NO) -cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) -K+ channel pathway. Pamabrom exerts peripheral antinociceptive activity by activating this pathway. The mechanism involves activating opioid receptors, promoting the release of nitric oxide, and then influencing cyclic guanosine monophosphate and K channels to produce an analgesic effect. Pamabrom is orally active and is mainly used in the research and treatment of premenstrual syndrome and primary dysmenorrhea
