Terbinafine hydrochloride is a potent non-competitive inhibitor of squalene epoxidase from Candida, with a Ki of 30 nM. Terbinafine hydrochloride also shows antibacterial activity against certain Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria[1][2][3]. Terbinafine hydrochloride is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
