7-Hydroxysitosterol is a sterol found in the bark of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris)^[1].

In Vitro

7-Hydroxysitosterol (0-90 days) is present at 7 mg/100 g dry bark in non-inoculated Scots pine bark, and its concentration changes during incubation with Phanerochaete velutina (decreases to 5 mg/100 g at 15 days, returns to 7 mg/100 g at 90 days) or Stropharia rugosoannulata (decreases to 4 mg/100 g at 15 days, increases to 8 mg/100 g at 90 days)^[1].
