In Vitro

Sinococuline (0.5-5.0 μg/mL; 6 days) inhibits the non-structural protein-1 (NS1) release by DENV-2 infected Vero cells^[1].
Sinococuline (0-40 μg/mL; 48 h) inhibits pan-DENV infection in Vero cells, with IC₅₀s of 0.2, 0.08, 0.17, and 0.1 μg/mL for DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4, respectively^[1].

In Vivo

Sinococuline (0.5-2.0 mg/kg/day; i.p. twice a day for 5 days) decreases the morbidity and increases the survival of severely DENV-infected AG129 mice, with no body weight change^[1].

Administration:

Result:

Showed delayed mortality and survived significantly of mice, but none of the mice could survive till the end of experiment at the dose of 0.5 mg/kg/day.
The mice completely survived through the entire course of experiment at the dose of 2.0 mg/kg/day.
