Timcodar mesylate has the potential to enhance antibiotic activity by inhibiting bacterial efflux pumps, effectively reducing the minimum inhibitory concentration of some antibiotics against Gram-positive pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
