Activité biologique
The structure of PEG-DBCO comprises two key parts that work synergistically:
DBCO group: A highly reactive cyclic alkyne structure capable of undergoing copper-free click chemistry (azido-alkyne cycloaddition) with molecules containing an azide group (-N3).
PEG chain: Acting as a hydrophilic spacer, it forms a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing nonspecific adsorption and immune system recognition and clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
